Hepburn-esque Chic

The sun went missing last week, and we had rain. Rain meant I couldn't paint the railings of the deck and the contractors couldn't work on anything either. So I ended up with unexpected studio time on my hands. I was able to get some more pieces done and posted on Dusting in Pearls.

Over the past year, I've had a few designs (near and dear to my heart) that seemed like they belonged together in a collection, but I'd been fumbling around for a collection name. With Hubby's help last week, I was finally able to name the collection "Hepburn-esque Chic". That just seemed to fit.

Hubby has a particular love for "Fancy Kitty". Fancy Kitty is loosely based on a combination of features from Lucy and Thomasina, so that's probably why.

  1. That's a great design! I love it!

Thomasina has the most startlingly beautiful green eyes! I'm sure she hears that all the time. ;o)

BTW, I can't thank you enough for your kind words of encouragement and perpective today. That analogy is absolutely perfect and one I will refer to and gain strength from often, I know.

    Much love,

  4. Thomasina's ears look a similar shape.

I think rainy days are sent he make us catch up in craft rooms and with housework.

  5. What could be more purr-fect than a rainy day to stoke up creativity!

I'll always remember the story about Sir Winston Churchill, who was a painter when he wasn't being a British Prime Minister.... apparently on rainy days he'd say to whoever was around, "Draw the curtains, light the fire and get me my paints!"

What sweet kitties you have.... and what a fancy cat!
