Encore Presentation of the "Gold Medal" Rose

I normally wouldn't post two rose blog entries in a row, but since Kylee over at Our Little Acre commented on the last entry that the "Gold Medal" recently went on her wishlist I thought it was absolutely imperative that I share more photos of what this rose variety produces as far as range of color.

All the above photos were shot last Spring within seconds of each other and all roses pictured are from the same bush. However, you will see the range in color that I get all on one bush depending on the age of the bloom itself. The "Gold Medal" blooms change over their lifespan (so does the intensity of the scent, by the way). It's really been a joy to have this trouble-free highly prolific bloomer in my garden right out front for everyone in the neighborhood to enjoy.

  1. O-KAYYYYY! That does it. I want it and I want it NOW! I will have it a.s.a.p. next year. The last time I drooled like this over a rose, it was 'Disneyland' which I now have in my garden and it still makes my heart skip a beat when I see it. 'Gold Medal' does the same.

Thanks for showing her off! She is aptly named!
