What I think is funny about this... "she wants a drink of water" Is the kitty fountain in the bathroom beneath her?
Oh man... you're cat and my dog should meet. All day I hear disapproving puppy whimpering. Misery loves company!
The TWO kitty fountains (upstairs and downstairs) are her "back up". She'd much prefer a dribble from the tap or a drink from a newly poured glass of chilled filtered water. I've never had a cat so in love with water and so much of a connoisseur of it.

Silly cat. Sometimes I am pleased that I can tell the kids to can it when they start the whining. I don't think cats respond so well to that :)
