When you were a kid, did you ever make a wish and blow on a puffy dandelion? Do you still? I'm always tempted whenever I see one.
As I post-processed the photo above, one of my favorite Disney songs came floating into my head:
A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you're fast asleep.
In dreams you lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep.
Have faith in your dreams and someday
Your rainbow will come smiling through.
No matter how your heart is grieving...
If you keep on believing...
The dream that you wish will come true.
song written and composed by
Mack David, Al Hoffman and Jerry Livingston
for the Walt Disney film Cinderella (1950)
As a matter of fact, yes I do blow dandelions. I'm a kid at heart, and I love to watch the dandelion seeds float on the breeze ... our yard is full of weeds anyway, so this isn't really making it any worse. (I love how you tucked your watermark into the photo!)
ReplyDeleteI used to as a kid, now I leave them be. They're so pretty, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteWe always did that as a kid...it was fun, but can you imagine the lawns?
