I hear him before I see him.
His tiny chirp
Easily missed by unaware ears.
He sits atop a leaf-bare vine
Singing to the mid-day sun.

I LOVE hummingbirds. We get quite a few in our yard. We even had a hummingbird nest in early spring last year....until it was tragically destroyed by an errant soccer ball. I'm hoping they come back again this year.
How sweet! I have a lot of hummingbirds too and love to hear them zooming and squeeking about.
It's a magical place, your garden.
